Wow. That´s one hell of a question you´ve got there Mr. Pompei. There is a lot of things to say about all of it, but some how I don´t think my answers would make either one of us much the wiser. I could talk about the fact that there of course is a plan some where in a government safe about how to make India sustainable. And that the education here in India is climbing the top 50 (the design school made Business Weeks top 20 of the worlds best educations. Just like The Kaospilots). And that though there is a huge part of the population that can’t read or write there are some really impressive programs to make sure that education reaches everyone. (And here I want to raise my glass to my Kaospilot friend Siri who got internet in to the slum area, with instructors to go, in her three months here.)
And if “they earlier in their economic and social development will realize that material resources are finite yet human resources (such as creativity, innovation and expression) are infinite”? Well Mr. Pompei. All I know is that when it comes to realizing the power within, the joy of creativity versus the fact that material resources are finite, the fact that the people of India relied on a bunch of Hindu Gods and Buddha himself while we were still longing for hammers to make thunder with, sure rises the question if we aren´t to blame for that one and the ones who should learn.
Well. As I said. This isn´t really making us much the wiser. So what´s the real question here? If they will learn from our mistakes? Frankly- If we can´t even learn from our own mistakes, unsigned Kyoto agreements and all, how could we expect them to? And if we can´t learn from all the things that India has done right, spiritual awareness, making it possible to live a good life out of nothing, we´re not really one to talk. So am I sitting here, pessimistic and all, saying that people don’t learn? Well, Mr. Pompei. In the words of a man who might know nothing, or just might have understood it all- People just aint no good.

Dear Johanna,
That man you mention – who may or may not have understood everything – would that be myself or Mr. Cave you allude to?
Sincerely,

Dear Mr. T,
That would be Mr. Cave. But then again, I’ve always thought the two of you were of the same mind.
All the best,
